CUBE is a renowned bicycle brand owned by Pending System GmbH & Co. KG, based in Waldershof, Bavaria, Germany. As one of the largest bicycle manufacturers in Germany, CUBE boasts an impressive annual sales figure of over 1 million bicycles as of 2022. The company has seen consistent growth in sales over the years. While the assembly of the bicycles takes place in Waldershof, a portion of the production is outsourced to Asia, including facilities in Taiwan operated by FSA.

History

CUBE was founded in 1993 by Marcus Pürner in Waldershof, located in the Upper Palatinate region of Bavaria. The brand has grown significantly since its inception and is now available in 67 countries worldwide through specialized retailers. CUBE gained international recognition by sponsoring the Wanty-Groupe Gobert team during the Tour de France in 2017 and 2018. The brand returned to the UCI World Tour in 2021 as the official supplier for the Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert Matériaux team.

CUBE is a market leader in Europe for mid-range and high-end mountain bikes. The company also produces road, cross, gravel, trekking, and ergonomically designed bikes for women and children. Additionally, CUBE offers an extensive range of e-bikes across various categories. The brand also markets a collection of clothing and accessories. In 2019, mountain bikes accounted for approximately 18.9% of total revenue, while hybrid bikes made up 57.8%.
