Terms of Service

These Terms of Service apply to the use of Buy-European.net, in particular to submitting suggestions and error reports. The directory is free to use and needs no registration.

1. Provider and scope

The provider is Hanseatic Bits UG (haftungsbeschränkt) & Co. KG, Zeissstraße 1, 49733 Haren (Ems), Germany (see Imprint). Buy-European.net is a curated directory of European products and companies. There are no user accounts. Suggestions and error reports can be submitted without registration through the forms on the website.

2. Content of the directory

The information in the directory comes from our own research and from submissions. We check it against primary sources but give no warranty for accuracy, completeness or timeliness. Headquarters, ownership and products change. An entry is neither a test nor a buying recommendation or advice. There is no right to be listed or to stay listed; we decide by the criteria described on the About page.

Errors can be reported with the "Report data error" button on the product page or by email to info@buy-european.net. We review reports and correct information that is demonstrably wrong.

3. Suggestions and error reports

Anyone submitting content agrees:

  • to provide accurate and non-misleading information,
  • not to submit unlawful, defamatory or harmful content and not to infringe the rights of third parties,
  • not to enter personal data of third parties.

The following is not permitted:

  • spam and automated mass submissions,
  • impersonating brands or persons,
  • links to malware or phishing sites,
  • automated mass requests that impair the operation of the website.

4. Rights in submissions

By submitting content, the submitter grants Hanseatic Bits UG (haftungsbeschränkt) & Co. KG a non-exclusive, royalty-free right, unlimited in time and territory, to store, review, edit and publish the submitted information in the directory. The submitter confirms that they are entitled to submit it. Names, trademarks and logos of listed companies belong to their respective owners.

Infringements can be reported to info@buy-european.net. It helps to include:

  • the exact address of the content concerned,
  • proof of the rights (for example ownership of a trademark or a work),
  • contact details for follow-up questions.

5. The website's own content

The texts and design of the website are protected by copyright (see Imprint). The Buy-European.net logo and infographics may be used to link to the website and to report on it (see Support and Press).

6. Availability

The service is free of charge. There is no claim to uninterrupted availability. We may change or remove content and change or discontinue the service.

7. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act, and where we have fraudulently concealed a defect or given a guarantee. For slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation, liability is limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Otherwise we are not liable for slight negligence. This also applies to the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of the information in the directory.

The operators of linked external websites are responsible for their content. Further notes on liability for content and links are in the Imprint.

8. Changes and measures against violations

We may change these Terms with effect for the future where there is a valid reason, for example a change in the law or new features. For submissions, the version published at the time of submission applies. We may reject or remove submissions that violate these Terms and, in case of violations, restrict access to the forms.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the state where a consumer has their habitual residence remain unaffected. Where permitted, the place of jurisdiction is the provider's registered seat.
