Submit SuggestionHONOR is an independent Chinese technology company with its registered office in Shenzhen. Its global privacy notice identifies Honor Device Co., Ltd. at a Shenzhen address, and its 2021 company announcement said the brand had become fully independent. HONOR is therefore classified as non-European despite its international sales network.
The smartphone catalog is organized into Magic, N and X families. Magic includes premium and foldable models, while N and X phones offer additional configurations. HONOR's global product pages list smartphones across these lines, with models varying by region.
HONOR promotes features such as high-resolution displays, camera systems and AI functions across selected models. MagicOS provides the phone interface and connects devices in the wider HONOR portfolio, which also includes tablets, PCs and wearables. Actual specifications depend on the individual phone.
HONOR's Shenzhen company address and independent corporate status provide the basis for the classification. HONOR began operating independently in 2021, according to its announcement. A global network of offices, retail partners or service points does not change that registered company base.
Buyers can also compare Fairphone, a Netherlands-based company, SHIFT, headquartered in Falkenberg, Germany, and HMD, founded in Helsinki, Finland. These are European-based smartphone makers. As with HONOR, company location should be distinguished from the global sourcing and manufacturing of phone components.
