Artdeco

Artdeco is a German decorative cosmetics brand founded in 1985 by Helmut Baurecht in Munich. The operating company is ARTDECO cosmetic GmbH, located at Gaußstraße 13 in Karlsfeld near Munich, where headquarters, production and warehouse are based. Besides Artdeco, the group also markets the Make up Factory and Anny brands.

• Makeup for eyes, face, lips and nails, plus brushes and palettes.
• The Beauty Box system, a customizable and refillable palette that has existed since the beginning.
• Refillable lipsticks and mascaras, and skincare.
• The brand states that it does not test on animals.

Ownership

In 2024 the Italian family owned Sodalis Group, headquartered in Lodi Vecchio near Milan, acquired a majority stake in the Artdeco Group.

The company states that its formulations meet the EU rules for cosmetics and follow its own development protocol, and that its headquarters and warehouse run on green electricity. It has also committed to the United Nations Global Compact and publishes progress reports.
