Today the brand covers the Bancontact debit card for shops and online, the Bancontact Pay app for QR payments and Bancontact Pro for businesses. The company reports more than 2.5 billion transactions per year.

Ownership and limitations
Bancontact Payconiq Company was formed in 2018 by the merger of Bancontact Company and Payconiq Belgium. At the time of the merger its shareholders were Belgian banks, including Belfius, BNP Paribas Fortis, ING and KBC. It is a payment institution supervised by the National Bank of Belgium. The scheme is focused on Belgium. For customers from other countries, Bancontact is mainly relevant as a payment option in Belgian online shops.
