B&B Hotels

Website

B&B Hotels is a French budget hotel chain that was founded in Brest in 1990. According to Wikipedia, it operates in 17 European countries. The chain does not own all its hotels and works mainly on a management basis. The French private equity firm PAI Partners sold the group to Goldman Sachs and the Swedish pension fund ATP in 2019.

Features

  • Simple, modern rooms at fixed budget prices
  • Locations in city centres and near motorways and airports
  • Booking through the website and the B&B Hotels app
  • Strong presence in France, Germany, Italy and Spain

Ownership and limits

B&B Hotels' company statements call Goldman Sachs the main shareholder since 2019. The brand is therefore marked as having a non-European parent, although headquarters and operations are in France. The hotels offer little service beyond breakfast and rooms.
