bett1

bett1.de is a Berlin online retailer for mattresses and bedding. Adam Szpyt founded it in 2004 and is still the managing director of bett1.de GmbH (Tauentzienstraße, Berlin). His aim was to offer a good mattress at a fair price and to break with the price fixing in the mattress trade of the time. That is where the best-known product comes from, the BODYGUARD "Anti-Kartell" mattress, which the company says has been bought more than five million times.

Range

• Mattresses, including the in-house BODYGUARD line
• Slatted frames, pillows, duvets and further bedding
• Direct sales over the internet, with a trial period and returns that the company advertises on its site

Good to know

The imprint names no parent company; the business is led by its founder. bett1 concentrates on a small number of mattress models for many body types rather than a wide range of specialist constructions.
