BoConcept

BoConcept is a Danish furniture brand headquartered in Herning in central Denmark. Jens Ærthøj and Tage Mølholm opened a furniture factory in 1952, and the company has designed and produced furniture in Denmark since then. BoConcept sells mainly through its own and franchised stores around the world, where staff plan rooms with customers.

Ownership

BoConcept Holding A/S has been owned by the investment manager 3i Group, based in London, since 2016, when 3i bought the company from the Mølholm family. 3i is a European private equity investor, so BoConcept is not owned from outside Europe. Trade press reported in 2025 that an exit by 3i could follow, so the ownership may change. The brand is positioned between mass market and high end design.
