Canton

Canton Elektronik GmbH + Co. KG is a German loudspeaker manufacturer from Weilrod in the Taunus region. The company has developed and produced loudspeakers since 1972 and has grown to a medium-sized business of around 120 employees at its headquarters in Weilrod and a components factory near Tachau in the Czech Republic.

Range

• Hi-fi and high-end loudspeakers for music and home cinema.
• Smart audio products such as soundbars and wireless systems.
• Complete speaker sets and individual models for different room sizes and budgets.

Ownership

Canton states that it is a family company: it is neither a sub-brand within a group of brands nor has it been bought by a large corporation or a financial investor. It describes itself as currently renewing its product lines.

Where it fits

The company's motto is Family of Sound. Because both the headquarters with its production facility and the components factory belong to Canton, the company controls much of its production chain itself.
