Website

Doghammer is a German footwear company founded in Rosenheim in 2015 by Maximilian and Matthias. The founders started with an outdoor sandal and developed a broader collection for hiking, everyday wear and barefoot walking. Doghammer GmbH remains based in Rosenheim, while many of its shoes are handmade by a family run workshop in Portugal.

From outdoor sandals to a shoe range

The catalog now includes sandals, outdoor sneakers, hiking and approach shoes, slippers and barefoot footwear. Styles are offered for adults and children. Doghammer's own account of its history traces the range from the first toe sandal to newer hiking models and barefoot shoes introduced in 2023.

Cork, wool and other materials

The brand highlights recycled wine cork, wool and natural rubber in selected designs. It also describes using European natural and recycled materials and reusing packaging. Product construction varies by model, with options for wool linings, leather uppers and flexible barefoot soles.

Production in Europe

Doghammer says its standard shoes are made by hand in a family operated Portuguese workshop. The company works closely with production partners and describes its logistics and shipping as coordinated with Caritas in Rosenheim, including employment support for people with disabilities.

For trails and daily use

The product range serves both outdoor activities and routine wear. Buyers can compare models by intended use, season, size and material through the online shop. The company also offers selected customizable shoes made in Rosenheim alongside its Portugal produced collection.
