DS Automobiles

Website

DS Automobiles is a French premium car brand founded in Paris in 2014. It grew out of the DS line that Citroën launched in 2009 and builds on the heritage of the 1955 Citroën DS. Today the brand belongs to the Stellantis group, which is registered in Hoofddorp in the Netherlands.

Models and technology

The range focuses on premium compact cars and SUVs with electric, plug-in hybrid and combustion drivetrains. DS markets its cars with an emphasis on French design, interior craftsmanship and comfort, and takes part in motorsport, including Formula E and the SailGP team of France as a partner.

Ownership

Stellantis was formed in 2021 from the merger of Fiat Chrysler and PSA. Its largest shareholders are Exor (the Agnelli family holding), Peugeot Invest and the French state bank Bpifrance, so the group is not majority owned from outside Europe.
