Website

easyJet is a British low-cost airline based at London Luton. It was founded by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, and the first flights took off from Luton to Glasgow and Edinburgh in November 1995. The company describes itself as a low-cost, point-to-point airline with leading positions at primary airports.

Features

  • More than 1,000 routes across Europe and North Africa, many from primary airports
  • Bases in several countries, with a large share of passengers from outside the UK
  • easyJet holidays for package trips with flight and hotel
  • Optional extras such as seat selection, extra legroom and hold baggage

Limits

Like other low-cost airlines, easyJet charges for baggage and seat reservations beyond the basic fare. Long-haul flights do not exist, and the network is built around short and medium routes, so intercontinental trips need a second airline. Flights and holidays can be booked on the easyJet website and in the app.
