Finnair

Website

Finnair is the flag carrier of Finland, founded in 1923 and based in Vantaa at Helsinki Airport. It has been a member of the oneworld alliance since 1999. The Finnish state is the majority shareholder, and the shares are traded on the Helsinki stock exchange.

Features

  • Europe-Asia and Europe-North America flights via Helsinki, often with short transfers
  • Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class on long-haul routes
  • Finnair Plus loyalty programme with oneworld benefits
  • Wide Nordic and Baltic network

Limits

Finnair's long-haul offer depends on the Helsinki hub, so most trips need one change. Several Asian routes are affected by airspace closures that lengthen flight times. Basic European fares exclude checked baggage. Tickets are sold on finnair.com and in the Finnair app. Domestic flights within Finland are an important part of the network.
