Fragonard is a French perfumer whose origins are closely connected with Grasse, the historic perfume centre of Provence. The company dates its foundation to 1926, when Eugène Fuchs began making and selling scented products to visitors on the Riviera. Its first workshop distilled local flowers and plants into perfume concentrates, essential oils and floral absolutes. Today the operating company, Les Parfumeries Fragonard, lists its registered office at 20 boulevard Fragonard in Grasse. The house has remained family run through four generations, with the Costa family directing its development.
