Iberostar

Iberostar is a Spanish tourism group headquartered in Palma de Mallorca. According to its own history page, it is 100 percent family-owned and was founded in 1956, with roots in the footwear business of the Fluxà family that go back to 1877. Iberostar runs more than 100 four- and five-star hotels.

Limits

In 2022 Iberostar and IHG signed a long-term alliance under which up to 70 hotels are sold through IHG systems under the name Iberostar Beachfront Resorts. These hotels are operated by Iberostar, but are bookable through the IHG platform. City hotels are rare in the portfolio.
