Laško is a Slovenian beer brand of Pivovarna Laško Union, based at Trubarjeva cesta 28 in Laško. The brewery was founded in 1825 by Franz Geyer and is known for its Laško Zlatorog range. In 2005 Laško took control of Union Brewery, and in 2015 the Dutch group Heineken acquired a majority stake. The two breweries were merged in 2016 as Pivovarna Laško Union, and Heineken said it wanted to keep both beers.
