Ligne Roset

Website

Ligne Roset is a French furniture maker with its registered office in Briord in the Ain department near Lyon. Antoine Roset founded the family company in 1860, and today the fifth generation is involved in management. The company designs and produces furniture in the Rhône region and sells it through its own and partner stores.

Range

  • Togo: the foam sofa designed by Michel Ducaroy in 1973, still a bestseller after more than 50 years
  • Sofas and armchairs, beds, tables, chairs and storage in contemporary French design
  • Lighting and accessories as well as contract furniture for hotels and offices

Positioning

The company works with a range of international designers and is also known for its woodworking background and for using wood offcuts to heat its factory. Ligne Roset stays in the upper mid price range. The Roset family still owns the company, so there is no non-European parent. A museum and showroom called Studio 1860 opened on the historic Montagnieu site.
