Löffler is an Austrian sportswear maker based in Ried im Innkreis. Its cycling collection includes apparel for road, gravel, mountain biking and touring, developed by Löffler GmbH.

Company history

Elfriede Löffler established a textile business in Ried in 1946. Fischer acquired the company in 1973 and shifted its focus to functional sports clothing. Löffler introduced its first cycling collection in 1981.

Riding apparel

The range includes cycling jerseys, bib shorts, tights, base layers, vests and jackets, with options for women and men. Styles are organized for different conditions and fits. Road designs are generally close fitting; gravel and touring pieces provide different layering and storage choices.

Transtex fabrics

Löffler develops transtex, a knitted fibre technology that moves moisture away from the skin. Lighter versions suit warm weather and high effort, while warmer constructions and merino blends address colder rides. The Ried knitting mill supplies around 70 percent of the fabrics used across the brand.

Construction and weather protection

For selected cycling garments, hotBOND joins fabric panels with ultrasonic bonding instead of conventional seams. Löffler says the flat joints reduce bulk and rubbing. Airblocc softshells protect the front from wind and breathe elsewhere, while waterproof shells cover wet rides.

Made in Austria and Europe

Löffler produces fabrics and apparel in its own facilities in Ried and other European sites. The company reports that 99 percent of its production takes place in Europe. The cycling range serves training, touring and competition, with layers chosen for conditions and effort.
