LOOK Cycle

Website

LOOK Cycle is a French bicycle and component maker based in Nevers, where it was founded in 1951. Its engineering history connects bicycle racing with an idea borrowed from ski equipment: a binding that holds a rider securely while allowing a quick release.

From frames to clipless pedals

LOOK began with frames and components for high-end racing bicycles as well as ski bindings. In 1984 it introduced the PP65, which the company identifies as its first automatic cycling pedal. The design adapted the ski binding principle so a rider could attach a compatible shoe and release it when needed.

Carbon development

In 1986 LOOK presented the KG 86, a hand-built frame combining carbon and Kevlar. The company says Bernard Hinault and Greg LeMond tested it in that year's Tour de France. Its first monobloc carbon frame, the KG 196, followed in 1990, extending the brand's work in lightweight race equipment.

Bicycles for different terrain

The current range includes road, gravel, mountain and track bicycles, as well as models with electric assistance. Frames and complete bikes serve different riding styles, from paved racing routes to rougher surfaces and velodrome use.

Pedals and components

KEO road pedals and matching cleats are a central part of the catalog.

Designed around cycling

These products suit riders choosing a complete bicycle, replacing a pedal system or upgrading individual parts. LOOK Cycle International SAS operates from Nevers, keeping the company's product engineering and long cycling history rooted in France.
