Lufthansa

Lufthansa is the largest German airline and the flagship of the Lufthansa Group, which is headquartered in Cologne. The group also includes SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings and ITA Airways. Lufthansa flies from hubs in Frankfurt and Munich and is a founding member of the Star Alliance.

Features

• Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class, plus First Class on selected long-haul routes
• Miles & More loyalty programme, shared with several partner airlines
• Worldwide connections through Frankfurt, Munich and the Star Alliance network
• Several fare bundles; the cheapest European fares include hand baggage only

Limits

As a network carrier Lufthansa is usually more expensive than low-cost airlines on simple point-to-point routes. The cheapest fares exclude checked baggage and seat selection, so the fare conditions are worth reading before booking. Tickets can be booked on lufthansa.com, in the Lufthansa app and through travel agencies.
