Mentimeter

Mentimeter is an interactive presentation tool from Mentimeter AB in Stockholm, Sweden, founded in 2014. Audiences answer on their phones while the presenter shows live results. It is therefore less a replacement for long online questionnaires than an alternative to SurveyMonkey and Google Forms for quick polls in meetings, classes and events. Its 2022 Series C of 42 million US dollars was led by the Swedish investors Creades, Nordstjernan Growth and Alfvén & Didrikson.

Pricing and limitations

The free plan allows 50 participants per month plus one session per month without a participant limit, and paid Basic, Pro and Enterprise plans remove the monthly limits. Mentimeter is not open source and cannot be self-hosted. It is built for live sessions, so lengthy self-paced surveys with complex routing are better served by LimeSurvey, Tally or SoSci Survey.
