Moccamaster

Moccamaster is the filter coffee machine brand of Technivorm, a Dutch company in Amerongen. Gerard Clement Smit, an industrial engineer, founded Technivorm in 1964 and designed the first Moccamaster in 1968. According to the company, all Moccamaster coffee machines and grinders have been handmade in the Netherlands since the beginning.

Good to know

The company states that all Moccamaster filter coffee machines and grinders are certified by the European Coffee Brewing Centre (ECBC) and the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA). Domestic machines come with a five-year warranty. A Moccamaster brews filter coffee only and has no pump, capsule or milk system, so it suits readers who want simple, durable machines and drink plain coffee. It costs more than most standard filter machines.
