Movement Skis
WebsiteMovement Skis is the ski business of Movement SA, a Swiss company headquartered in Vevey. Its collection covers ski touring, freeride and piste use, with models aimed at different ways of spending time in the mountains.
From snowboard roots to skis
The brand traces its roots to Wild Duck, a snowboard label started by three friends in Vevey in 1981. Movement itself began in 2001, when the founders carried that independent mountain culture into freeskiing. Its early ski history includes the Fly freeride line and the X-Series touring skis.
Separate lines for separate days
The current range includes Alp Tracks for ski mountaineering, Sequence for touring, Fly for freeride and Revolution for piste skiing. This makes the catalogue relevant to uphill travel, off-piste descents and liftside days, rather than treating every ski as an all-purpose model.
Construction and production
Movement introduced its X-Series in 2010 with North TPT carbon-fibre construction, a technology inspired by racing boats. The Alp Tracks followed in 2015 as an ultralight carbon ski. Since 2025, Movement has worked with partner factories in Switzerland and the Czech Republic: the Alp Tracks are made in Switzerland, while Fly, Sequence and Revolution models are made in the Czech Republic.
Based in Vevey
Movement says its Vevey headquarters handles design, branding, sales and photography. Its product focus is practical: ski choice follows terrain and ascent plans, while the company continues to develop equipment around mountain sports.
