Nuki

Nuki Home Solutions is an Austrian company from Graz. The brothers Martin and Jürgen Pansy founded it in 2014, and a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2015 launched the first Smart Lock. Nuki makes retrofit smart locks that are mounted on the inside of an existing door without drilling.

Good to know

The lock works with the existing cylinder, so it suits rented flats as well. In 2022, Nuki reported more than 400,000 active users and more than 133,000 locks sold in that year alone. These figures come from the company's own press release of February 2023.
