Website

pCloud is a cloud storage service from Switzerland. The company describes itself as Swiss-based and names more than 22 million users in over 130 countries. Free accounts get up to 10 GB of storage.[1]

Features

pCloud syncs files across devices, uploads photos and videos automatically from the phone, backs up files and shares files and folders with anyone through links. Files of any size can be stored.[1]

Data location and privacy

Before sign-up, users choose where their data is stored: in the European Union (Luxembourg) or in the United States (Dallas, Texas). The servers are therefore not only in Switzerland. pCloud states that files are protected under Swiss privacy law, GDPR compliance and zero-knowledge encryption.[2] Anyone who wants to keep data in Europe should pick the EU region when signing up.
