Birra Peroni is an Italian brewer that began in 1846, when Francesco Peroni founded a small brewery in Vigevano. The company's legal headquarters is in Rome (Via Renato Birolli 8). Its best-known beer, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, is one of the two global brands of the Asahi group.

Brands and range

• Peroni Nastro Azzurro: the premium lager and flagship of the company
• Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0%: an alcohol-free variant

Ownership

Birra Peroni is a single-member company under the direction and coordination of Asahi Europe Ltd. Asahi Group Holdings, headquartered in Tokyo and listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, acquired the Italian, Dutch and UK beer businesses of SABMiller in October 2016. Peroni is therefore an Italian company with a non-European parent company.
