Website

Sanmy S.A. is a Spanish soft-drink producer based in Terrassa, near Barcelona. The company makes and distributes its own beverages and also produces drinks for other brands.

Origins and name

Sanmy traces its history to 1895, when brothers Santiago and Francisco Puértolas acquired a local soda and siphon business after moving to Barcelona. The Sanmy beverage brand itself appeared in the 1960s, when later-generation brothers combined parts of their names to create it.

Drink range

The current catalogue spans soda water, siphon, tonic, cola, lemon and orange drinks, teas, juices, flavoured beverages, functional drinks and water. Sanmy also lists products from brands it distributes. Its own Sanmy line includes soda, lemon, orange, cola and tonic, sold in formats such as glass bottles, PET bottles and cans.

Recipes and ingredients

Some products use water sourced from the Sant Llorenç del Munt i l'Obac natural park. The company lists 3 percent lemon juice in Sanmy Lemon and 4 percent orange juice in Sanmy Orange. Its Sanmy Soda is described as lightly carbonated, colourless and without calories.

Production and co-packing

Sanmy operates from its Terrassa facilities and offers contract development, manufacture and packaging. Its co-packing service can adapt recipes and formats for clients, while the company also provides storage, palletizing and distribution support. Sanmy says its IFS certification dates from 2011.

Where it is sold

Sanmy says it serves retail, catering and convenience channels across Spain and southern Europe.
