Scalingo

Scalingo is a French platform as a service for web applications and databases. It describes itself as a sovereign cloud host: all data is stored exclusively in France on the infrastructure of 3DS Outscale, whose IaaS is SecNumCloud 3.2 qualified by the French agency ANSSI. Scalingo says that more than 1,000 customers use it, among them public institutions, local governments, agencies, startups and large companies.

Features

• Deployment in a few clicks or through CI/CD, with Git and Docker supported.
• Fully managed databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB, plus OpenSearch with vector search.
• Automatic scaling, a web interface and a command line client, with built-in monitoring and logging.
• ISO 27001 and HDS (health data hosting) certified, and working towards its own SecNumCloud qualification.

Limits

Scalingo hosts in France only, which suits sovereignty requirements but offers no choice of region. It is a classic application platform in the Heroku style and does not provide a global edge network for static sites.
