Sixt

Sixt is a German car rental company headquartered in Pullach near Munich. It started in 1912 as "Martin Sixt Autofahrten" with three vehicles and is still shaped by the Sixt family: the largest shareholder of the listed Sixt SE is Erich Sixt Vermögensverwaltung GmbH. In 2025 the group reported revenue of EUR 4.28 billion.

Limits

Sixt is not the cheapest option: the focus on premium cars means higher base rates than low-cost rental brands. Deposits and insurance packages differ by country, and the rental conditions are worth checking at the pick-up station.
