SourceHut
WebsiteSourceHut (sr.ht) is an open source software forge for Git and Mercurial repositories, operated from Hoorn in the Netherlands. It targets developers who prefer a lean, fast tool and an email-based workflow over a social platform. The software is released under free licences such as the AGPL.
Features
- Public, private and unlisted Git repositories, with Mercurial supported as well
- A build service that runs jobs on virtualised Linux and BSD images, including SSH access after failed builds
- Mailing lists with web-based patch review
- Ticket tracking that works by email, with or without an account
- Git-based wikis
Pricing and limits
Hosting projects is paid, with plans from 4 euros per month, and every plan includes all services. Contributing to someone else's project does not require payment. The site still calls itself a public alpha, and the interface is deliberately plain. Code review runs through email patches rather than pull requests, which takes time to get used to for people coming from GitHub.
