SwissTransfer
WebsiteSwissTransfer is a free service for sending large files, run by Infomaniak in Geneva since February 2019. Files are shared as a download link, so neither sender nor recipient needs an account. Infomaniak says almost 2 million people use it every month.
Features
- Up to 50 GB per transfer, any file type, folders included.
- Availability from 1 to 30 days, then the files are deleted permanently.
- Optional password and a download limit of up to 250 downloads on the free plan.
- Delivery by link or by email from SwissTransfer; apps for iOS and Android.
- Files are stored only in Infomaniak's own data centers in Switzerland, without ads, content analysis or AI training.

Limits and costs
Encryption covers transit and storage but is not end-to-end; for that, see Tresorit. Paid kSuite plans add branding, unlimited downloads and, in the Enterprise plan, 60 days. SwissTransfer is no archive, so use Infomaniak kDrive to keep files. Creating transfers is blocked from some countries outside Europe.
