Szallas Group

Szallas Group is an online travel group headquartered in Budapest, Hungary. It grew out of the accommodation portal Szallas.hu and today runs 11 online travel products and lists around 90,000 bookable accommodations, with a team of more than 500 people.

Products and markets

• Full-scale markets: Hungary, Czech Republic, Romania and Poland, each with local brands such as Szallas.hu, Hotely.cz, Travelminit and Noclegi.pl.
• Cross-country markets: Croatia and Slovakia.
• Services around accommodation booking, discount offers, experience tourism and loyalty programmes.

Ownership

Since 2022 the group belongs to Wirtualna Polska Holding from Poland, which holds 100 percent. The group management sits in the Budapest office, the largest office is in Miskolc.

The group has grown through acquisitions, among them the Czech Hotel.cz group and the Romanian platform Travelminit, and it says its local-to-local approach lets each market team build offers for its own country. Its stated vision is to become the largest and most trusted provider of online tourism platforms in the CEE region.
