Ownership and limitations

TWINT AG belongs to Swiss banks and payment companies: BCV, PostFinance, Raiffeisen, UBS, Zürcher Kantonalbank, SIX and Worldline. TWINT is used almost entirely in Switzerland and needs an account at a participating Swiss bank, so it is not a general payment method elsewhere in Europe. Merchants pay transaction fees that depend on their provider.
