Submit SuggestionPersonal protective equipment (PPE) protects people from hazards at work and in everyday life: helmets, gloves, safety glasses, respiratory protection and protective clothing. In the EU, PPE has to comply with Regulation (EU) 2016/425, and the manufacturer affixes the CE marking to each product that meets its requirements.[1]

What to check when buying
Look for the CE marking and the EU declaration of conformity of the product, and check that its markings match the hazard you need protection from: cut protection, impact, chemicals or gases need different equipment.[1] A brand on this page does not mean every product it sells is PPE. ABUS, for example, is mainly a security technology company, so check the individual product data.
