3DS Outscale

3DS Outscale is a French cloud provider based in Saint-Cloud near Paris, founded in 2010 and part of Dassault Systèmes. In December 2023 it became the first cloud operator to receive the ANSSI SecNumCloud 3.2 qualification for its public cloud services, the French state's most demanding security label for cloud platforms.

Features

• Infrastructure as a service: virtual machines with Linux or Windows, reservable GPUs, block and object storage, networking, all through an API.
• OUTSCALE Kubernetes as a Service (OKS), a managed Kubernetes platform on the qualified public cloud.
• Pay-as-you-go billing with per-second precision and a single console for all regions.
• Further certifications according to the company: HDS (health data), ISO 27001, 27017 and 27018, CISPE and TISAX.

Limits

Outscale targets public bodies and companies with strict security demands, and its catalogue is smaller than that of the large US clouds. Regions exist in Europe, North America and Asia, while the SecNumCloud qualification covers specific services, so check the scope for your workload. Dassault Systèmes, a French listed software group, owns the company.
