Acne Studios

Acne Studios is a Swedish fashion house based in Stockholm. It grew out of the creative collective ACNE, founded in 1996, and became known in 1997 when co-founder Jonny Johansson made 100 pairs of raw denim jeans with red stitching. Johansson is still creative director. Together with executive chairman Mikael Schiller he holds a majority stake of 59 percent, while the investment firms IDG Capital and I.T Group have minority holdings from a 2018 deal. The brand shows its collections twice a year at Paris Fashion Week.
