The retailer started as a single shop in Cologne and grew into a chain with stores across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In 2022 the online furniture retailer home24 completed its acquisition of the Butlers group, and the brand has continued to trade under its own name since then.
Customers can buy in the stores or order online, and the head office stays in Cologne, where the founder opened the first shop.
