Gyermelyi

Gyermelyi Zrt. is a Hungarian food company based in Gyermely, Hungary. It traces back to a farming cooperative founded in 1953 and has produced pasta since 1971. Today it is Hungary's leading pasta producer and also the largest Hungarian egg producer and an important miller.

Scale and ownership

The company says nearly half of the dry pasta eaten in Hungary comes from its plant, and exports make up about 45 percent of its dry pasta sales. It employs around 550 people and states that it is entirely in Hungarian private ownership.
