HiPP
WebsiteHiPP is a German family company based in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm in Bavaria. Its baby food roots go back to 1899, when confectioner Joseph Hipp made a rusk porridge for his twins. His son Georg Hipp founded the company in 1932. Members of the Hipp family are still among the managing directors.
Features
- Infant formula and follow-on milk for the different stages, plus toddler milk
- Baby food jars (introduced in 1959), cereals and biscuits, nearly 400 products in total
- Organic raw materials since 1956, with more than 8,000 contract farmers according to HiPP
- Production sites in Germany, Austria, Croatia and Hungary
Availability and limits
HiPP formula is widely sold in Europe. In the USA it was not on the FDA's list of infant formulas marketed in the U.S. when checked in October 2026, so it reaches American buyers through importers. Which formula suits a baby is a question for a pediatrician or midwife.
