European baby formula is searched for far beyond Europe, above all by parents in the USA who look at brands such as HiPP, Kendamil or Holle. This page lists baby formula brands whose companies have their headquarters in Europe, with the owner named where it matters. It lists brands and manufacturers, not individual packs, and it is not feeding advice.

Baby formula in the USA

All infant formula sold in the United States, whether made at home or abroad, must meet US requirements. During the 2022 shortage the FDA temporarily exercised enforcement discretion so that some foreign products could be imported, and this guidance ran until November 2022 with a transition plan for firms that made progress toward full compliance. The FDA's list of infant formulas marketed in the U.S. now includes Kendamil (three versions) and Aptamil Care Stage 1 and Stage 2. When checked in October 2026, HiPP and Holle were not on that list, so American parents who buy them rely on importers. US versions of European brands can differ in recipe and label from the European ones.

Choosing a baby formula

Which formula suits a baby is a medical question. A pediatrician or midwife can advise, and the preparation instructions on the pack have to be followed exactly. A listing here shows where a company is headquartered, not which product is better. The wider diapers and strollers pages continue the baby theme.
