Kendamil

Kendamil is infant formula from Kendal Nutricare Ltd, a British company based in Kendal, Cumbria, on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Kendal Nutricare describes itself as a pharmaceutical research company that makes health care products for the whole life cycle. Kendamil 900g infant formula was launched at CBME Shanghai in July 2016 and is now sold in the UK, the USA, Canada, China, the Middle East and Singapore.

Availability in the USA

Kendamil came to the USA during the 2022 shortage under a temporary FDA pathway called enforcement discretion. The FDA's list of infant formulas marketed in the U.S. now includes Kendamil Infant Formula, Kendamil Organic and Kendamil Goat. Kendamil states that the U.S. versions were adapted to FDA rules, so they can differ from the UK recipes. Questions about the right formula belong with a pediatrician or midwife.
