Europe is the home of many well-known stroller brands, from Dutch design labels to family workshops that have built prams for generations. This page lists European stroller brands whose companies have their headquarters in Europe. Several of them belong to non-European owners, and those are marked so that the ownership is clear.

European stroller brands and non-European owners

Stroller brands change hands often. Bugaboo and Joolz sit in one group that Mubadala Capital controls, Stokke belongs to a Belgian investor that is owned by a South Korean group, and Cybex is part of the Hong Kong listed Goodbaby group. Their design and company seats are in Europe, which is why they appear here with a notice. Emmaljunga, Hartan, Peg Perego, Inglesina and Thule are the brands on this page without such a notice.

What to check before buying a stroller

Strollers differ in weight, fold size, suitable age and whether they take a carrycot or a car seat. Compact umbrella-fold models, city strollers and sport strollers for running are different tools. Comparing the actual model, its dimensions and the manufacturer's stated age and weight limits matters more than the brand name. Parents also look for baby formula and diapers, which are listed on their own pages.
