icedrive

Icedrive is a cloud storage service with a virtual drive: the desktop app mounts your storage like a hard disk in the file manager. The service comes from Wales and has been run from Gibraltar by Ice Privacy Ltd since 2024, when the team moved because of the UK Online Safety Act 2023.

Features

• Apps for Windows, macOS and Linux (including a command-line client), mobile apps and a web app.
• Public links with password, expiry date, download cap and preview-only mode on paid plans.
• Crypto: client-side, zero-knowledge encryption with the Twofish algorithm, including file names. It is part of the paid plans, the free plan has no zero-knowledge encryption. Other files are encrypted at rest and in transit (TLS).

Icedrive plans and price

The free plan offers 10 GB. In October 2026 the Pro plan listed 2 TB for 99 US dollars per year, with larger Pro Plus and Pro Max tiers above it. Icedrive also sells lifetime plans as a one-time payment. Icedrive Docs, an encrypted document editor, is still marked as coming soon.
