Infomaniak Public Cloud
WebsiteInfomaniak Public Cloud is the infrastructure-as-a-service offer of Infomaniak, an independent Swiss company headquartered in Geneva. It runs on OpenStack in Infomaniak's own data centers in Switzerland and is separate from the simpler Infomaniak VPS Cloud.
Features
- Instances for general use, IOPS-optimised and RAM-optimised instances, and GPU instances.
- Block storage based on Ceph and S3-compatible object storage.
- Managed Kubernetes, launched in April 2025, and a database service for MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis and OpenSearch.
- Several regions and availability zones in Switzerland; Terraform and Ansible are supported through the OpenStack API.
- Usage-based billing with prices listed per hour, a public price list and calculator; new customers get 300 euros of credit for three months.
Limits
All regions are in Switzerland, so there is no choice of EU member states, and data is processed under Swiss law, which is considered adequate by the EU. The managed catalogue is smaller than that of the large hyperscalers. Infomaniak states that its infrastructure is developed and operated without outside providers, and the Infomaniak Foundation holds the reference shareholding to protect its independence.
