Mistral Vibe (Le Chat)

Mistral Le Chat, now called Mistral Vibe, is the AI assistant of the Paris-based company Mistral AI. It combines chat, web search, a work agent for multi-step tasks and a coding agent in one product, and runs on Mistral's own language models. Mistral renamed Le Chat to Vibe on 28 May 2026. The address chat.mistral.ai, accounts, plans and conversations stayed the same.

Features

Plans and limits

A free plan covers quick answers, web search and simple tasks. Pro, Team and Enterprise plans are paid, and Enterprise customers can run Vibe on their own infrastructure. Mistral does not state the free plan's limits in absolute numbers on its product page.

Who it suits

Vibe is the broadest European alternative to ChatGPT for everyday questions, writing, research and programming. People who only want a simple chat may find the Work and Code modes more than they need, and those who put privacy above everything else may prefer a provider that encrypts the chat history, such as Lumo.
