MAM

MAM is an Austrian baby brand. Peter Röhrig, a plastics engineer, founded it in Vienna in 1976 and sold the first MAM pacifier that year, the first with air holes. The company has its marketing, design and research centres in Austria, assembles most products at its own site in Hungary and handles latex production in Thailand. It describes itself as a family company.

Good to know

MAM works with medical experts on its products, as the company says. The company also states that 95 percent of its products are made in Europe, although natural rubber is processed in Thailand. Pacifier sizes are graded by age, so the right one depends on the baby.
