MikroTik

MikroTik is the brand of SIA Mikrotīkls, a Latvian company with its offices in Riga. It develops routers, switches and wireless systems together with its own operating system, RouterOS. The range runs from small home and office devices to equipment for internet service providers.

Features

• Routers, switches and wireless systems for home offices, small businesses and carrier-grade networks
• RouterOS software with a very large range of routing, firewall and VPN functions
• Wi-Fi 6 devices such as the hAP ax³ for home and small office use
• Back to Home app and MikroTik Certified training for network engineers

Good to know

MikroTik hardware is often chosen for its favorable price compared with the functions it offers. The flexibility has a price: RouterOS is far more technical than the interface of a consumer router, and the setup suits people who already know networking. Beginners who just want a plug-and-play home router are usually better off with a brand like FRITZ!.
