reMarkable

reMarkable is a Norwegian technology company from Oslo. Magnus Wanberg founded it in 2013. The first reMarkable paper tablet was announced in November 2016 and launched in September 2017, followed by reMarkable 2. The company builds E Ink tablets that combine reading and handwriting.

Features

• E Ink display with a paper-like writing surface and a minimalist, distraction-free software
• Reads PDF and EPUB documents and lets you write directly on them
• Handwritten notes can be converted to text and shared
• Models such as reMarkable 2 and the colour model Paper Pro

Good to know

A reMarkable is closer to a digital notebook than to a classic e-reader. It has no shop for e-books of its own, so you add your own documents. The tablets come with a 50-day trial period, and some cloud and sync features depend on a subscription. Check the current terms on the reMarkable website.
