ResQ Club
WebsiteResQ Club is a Finnish company from Helsinki that sells surplus food and flowers from restaurants, cafés, grocery stores and florists at reduced prices. The company was set up in Finland in 2015 and says its mission is to cut waste from crop to fork. Customers browse nearby offers in the app, pay there and collect the meal in a short time window. An EU case study lists Sweden, Germany and Poland as further markets.
Features
- Discounted lunches, bakery goods, groceries and flowers from local businesses
- Separate app for partners to list surplus products in a few minutes
- ResQ Market, a shop for surplus goods in Helsinki
Limits
ResQ Club is strongest in Finland, and the number of offers in other countries depends on the city. As with other food rescue apps, the choice at a given location is small and changes daily. Availability should be checked in the app for the own area.
