Safespring

Safespring is a Swedish cloud provider based in Solna near Stockholm, founded in 2016 and privately owned. It is known in the Nordic research and education sector, where more than 60 institutions use it through Sunet, Sikt, DeiC or the GÉANT OCRE framework.

Limits

Safespring operates in only two countries and is smaller than the large European providers, with an office in Solna and one in Bergen. Customers who need regions in central or southern Europe, or a very broad catalogue of managed services, will look elsewhere. For Nordic public bodies and researchers, the focus on local data centers is the main argument.
